The 2025 program is open to high-achieving graduates and final year students who demonstrate exceptional potential and commitment to the legal profession.
Cadetship Graduates
Graduates who have successfully completed a Carter Capner Law cadetship program.
High Achievers
Recent Queensland law graduates with demonstrated high academic achievement.
Final Year Students
Second semester final year law students currently working as a paralegal or legal assistant.
How It's Structured
A comprehensive two-year program based in our Brisbane offices, providing exposure to multiple practice areas aligned with your interests and strengths.
Two-Year Journey
This is a two-year program based in our Brisbane offices with opportunities to be exposed to at least two of the following fields commensurate with your preferences and aptitude:
- Personal injury compensation
- Medical negligence
- Consumer litigation
- Class actions
- TPD claims
- Insurance litigation
- Estate litigation
- Business disputes & transactions

How Program Participants are Paid
As a program participant, you’ll be a valued permanent member of our team with competitive remuneration and comprehensive benefits.
Competitive Package
You will be employed as a permanent member of our team, paid a salary that is reviewed annually. You will accrue all normal entitlements under the National Employment Standards, including superannuation, annual leave, personal leave, and public holidays.
